Instructions

Before Treatment:
Make sure to eat well during breakfast or lunch before your appointment.

Continue taking your prescribed medications as you normally do unless directed otherwise by your healthcare provider. If you have conditions that require you to be premedicated with antibiotics before dental procedures please take the appropriate antibiotic medication one hour prior to your appointment as directed by your physician.

Please feel free to give us a call with any questions you may have.

After Treatment:
Unless told otherwise, you should be able to drive by yourself right after your appointment.

We recommend avoiding eating until your anesthesia wears away. If you must eat, please choose soft foods and exert caution to avoid damaging the numb areas such as your lip or tongue.

It is common to have mild post-operative discomfort. If needed take an over-the-counter pain medication such as Motrin®, Tylenol®, or Advil® making sure to follow the dosage recommended on the box. In the rare instances when your pain is severe enough that these medications do not help, or if you develop a swelling, please do not hesitate to call us.
