An Endodontist is a dentist who has completed at least two more years of advanced specialty training in the field of Endodontics. This extra training allows for diagnosis and successful treatment of the most challenging cases. Less than three percent of dentists are endodontists. By limiting their practice to endodontics, endodontists can dedicate their time to diagnosing and treating tooth pain. Endodontists use digital radiographs, 3D imaging, and dental operating microscopes to better see inside the root canals.
