What is Endodotincs?

Endodontics is a dental specialty that deals with the structures found within the tooth. The primary goal of the endodontic therapy, commonly known as a root canal treatment, is to heal the diseased or damaged internal tooth structure in order to preserve natural teeth. Even the latest bridges and implants cannot fully replace the natural tooth function. Therefore, every attempt should be made to retain the tooth.

What is an Endodontist?

An Endodontist is a dentist who has completed at least two more years of advanced specialty training in the field of Endodontics. This extra training allows for diagnosis and successful treatment of the most challenging cases. Less than three percent of dentists are endodontists. By limiting their practice to endodontics, endodontists can dedicate their time to diagnosing and treating tooth pain. Endodontists use digital radiographs, 3D imaging, and dental operating microscopes to better see inside the root canals. This combination of training, experience, and use of cutting-edge technology allows Dr. Kholodenko, Dr. Seltzer, and Dr. Reece to make treatment of such cases a routine task.
